Graduating students will now be called up alphabetically from their class group, rather than alphabetically from the highest grade to the lowest within each degree classification.
This is a historic change to Trinity commencement ceremonies — well done to

We are protesting the rising cost of education in Ireland.
We are focusing on the introduction of Supplemental Exam Fees, the rising cost of postgraduate and international fees, and the rising cost of student housing.

After the year we’ve had, it’s disappointing that
@tcddublin
would even consider re-opening the Book of Kells in the middle of a pandemic and during the most stressful time for students.
They’ve had every opportunity to postpone this until after the exam period
Very disappointed to hear
@tcddublin
will be reopening the Book of Kells for tourists during the up coming exam period.
This is something I have been trying to postpone until after the exam period. Disappointed this couldn’t be agreed.

We are blown away at how popular the voter registration drive has been today! Look at the queue in the Hamilton Building currently! Well done to those who took the time out to put themselves on the register today; it is so so important!

!! COVID-19 UPDATE !! ACCOMMODATION
1) If you had temporarily left college, there is no longer any need to return to campus to collect your belongings. Belongings will not be thrown out.
2) Having immunocompromised family/relatives is enough reason not to leave your accommodation
We're delighted to hear that face coverings are now mandatory in the library, TCDSU are working with the College to ensure that welfare is put first throughout the coming months. this is a step in the right direction towards a safe college experience this year! 😷 😷 😷 📝📝📝

Why not build public housing instead of letting multinational companies and landlords rip us off at €14,000 p/a? We also need to regulate digs with legislation, guidelines are useless and will continue to leave students in vulnerable situations

Disgraceful from

Were extremely disappointed to hear that online module enrolment did not open as planned at 11am today despite guarantees that the system was finally ready to launch. The college have left hundreds of students in the dark about a decision that will affect their academic career
We are absolutely delighted to see this initiative come to fruition. This project is such an important project to many staff and student and we can’t wait to see it grow in the coming years. Fantastic work has been done by all involved!

The student accommodation crisis has gone too far. It's time for DCC to listen to students and their needs.
Meet outside House 6 at 12.30pm.
No student should have to pay upwards of €255 euro for a room! Dublin needs more affordable student Accommodation and we stand behind and support
@DCUSU
.
Yesterday we attended opening of
@UninestIreland
New Mill PBSA (rooms 255-400 per week) and were asked to leave after we informed the attendees the pricing was far too expensive for average students to be able to afford . We stood silent outside for the rest of event.

TCDSU came out today to show that enough is enough. Nothing about this is normal.
If a housing & economic system doesn't protect the people who need it, that system has to change. The Government & College have a duty of care to us — it's time we reminded them of that.
TCDSU completely condemns the lack of a response from
@pjprendergast
&
@tcddublin
regarding the death of George Floyd and the calls for an end to racism globally. This is a time to use our voices and platforms to call out injustice as it exists around us
It's not just students and young people who want to see a more caring, compassionate Ireland.
