Is it just me, or are other people seeing massive changes in W-2 withholding? I've had two different returns in the last two days where wages are up but withholding is down. In both cases they swear they didn't update their W4. Curious if that's a larger pattern.

Found out a client who had almost completed chemo died from infection complications. Another with stage 4 and an almost terminal prognosis was just cleared in deep remission. Tax season really isn't the time for the yo-yo of emotions. Bittersweet day to say the least...

Successes:

We lost my Father 5 years ago today. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. It's a little more bittersweet now, but I still love seeing family and celebrating together. This is my favorite picture of us together as an adult. Merry Christmas. I love you, Dad.
