Absolute knob, we’ve been shut because the course is waterlogged and you try and protect as much as possible then you get this right next to a green that’s also covered in pitchmarks 🤷♂️

New first path coming along nicely, once the levels are sorted and the tops of the sleepers are trimmed and shaped the gateway to Hartswood should be great🙏👍⛳️

That decision the Ref/manager make on a Sunday morning can and dose effect the rest of the season, teams/ref must make that decision when the weather is that bad as it was this Sunday and relies the effect it can have on the playing surface for the rest of the season😡

Finished off the the ditch wall between the 7th/8th, was a Little muddy but just in time for the rain, will continue after Xmas break👍

I’m not very popular😫because of the Rain/worm casts I’ve put an electric trolley ban on and marked out restricted areas, had some negative comments about the hole trolley thing but why not leave the kitchen sink at home, how much stuff do you need🙄

6 wks ago this pitch was verti-quaked-2wks ago then mole drained 1.5m spacing then rolled and then slit & sprayed with penetrant & seaweed-this wk deep tine 3/4” tine 12”depth and dressed on wetter parts, pitch has issues but you can’t say we’re not trying 🤣⚽️

Definitely seeing an advantage spraying iron and a penetrant to help hold back fuzz, you can actually see we’re the sprayer stopped on the apron👍

Brentwood Arena prepped, bowdry🥵sand down on wetter areas, hammered 3” holes 12” deep with a post into some areas filled with sand to help drain, and now it’s pouring😫I’m done as feeling crap🤧🤧

Getting some projects finished off that we started last winter, steps on the end of the 3rd tee were we noticed golfers wanted to use the quickest route rather the other steps provided 20feet away🤷♂️and some path edging behind the 11th green pulls it all together 👌

very disappointing,our members have been moaning about long grass/clippings,we’ve basically had 3 drying days to cut everything,not giving us a chance to catch up, they cut there garden was one comment, need to stay polite and professional but finding it hard

Being a local authoritie run course we might not be getting our normal 1% pay rise this year but I get to have there hand me down tractor and amozone instead 👍great for collecting leaves, not sure I’ll be taking the tractor on the greens though 😉

Arena got slit this morning before more rain, luckily there’s no game this wkend as very wet and more rainfall is forecast, feeling battered😩golf course will probably need closing and bowls starts in about 3 wks all needing spring renovations with four staff members 🤣

A lot of growth everywhere over the wkend, HOC still higher than normal but helping to recover from the dry summer last year, actually would like to keep these HOC for the rest of the year, fairways 20mm greens 5.5mm semi 47mm rough 62mm, I’m sure we create our own stress🤔
