“T, you gotta get down here to Dallas. They’re runnin’ these computa game tournaments, and I’m makin’ a buck off this Russian kid. Weird lookin’ fella. They say he’s the best to eva do it. Name’s Dook or some shit. Get down here when you can T.”

“Consistency” is the ultimate competitive Counter-Strike buzzword. From the budding pro to the weekend fragger, it’s something every player strives for.
What if I told you there was 1️⃣ THING holding you back from more consistent play that you can fix today?
A 🧵(~3 minute read)
@Mauisnake
anything that directly acts upon the inputs you’re making, i.e changing any 0s to 1s without direct manipulation of the user, probably shouldn’t be allowed
a good mouse doesn’t do this, a good mouse increases the precision in which a user can pass inputs to the computer

learned that both my roommates have tested positive for COVID. Means I probably have it as well and will have to self isolate. Glad they procrastinated on getting tested and still went to work. Happy new year.
I set out to make a CS course in ~60 days. Instead, I ended up spending over 365.
I wanted to provide high-value, high effort content for the community centered around core fundamentals of CS, featuring practical advice on how to improve that I had gathered from my time playing.

It’s fascinating coming from a CS background (7000+ hrs) where nobody complains about the game being too hard for casuals. some people want to just sit down and have fun, and I can totally respect that but those are the LAST people you cater to, that’s how you kill a game
imagine
1. cheating
2. breaking valve coach guidelines
3. not having your passport, so you couldn’t go anyways
great stuff guys, wake me up when NA CS is serious again 👍🏻
Uninstall slobs, cancel any related subscriptions. Open source software is the reason why your computer has some of the amazing tools that you use daily, and SL is basically flipping you a giant middle finger as a consumer. Fuck streamlabs.
Near the launch of SLOBS,
@streamlabs
reached out to us about using the OBS name. We kindly asked them not to. They did so anyway and followed up by filing a trademark
We’ve tried to sort this out in private and they have been uncooperative at every turn
started writing a script for a cool CS series I want to do. A historical, mini documentary style video. If anyone is interested in editing, voicing, script writing, and is passionate/knowledgeable about pro CS DM me.
This 100%
Your bullets in CS aren't accurate if you're moving which necessitates the need for mechanics like counter-strafing. We seasoned tacFPS players don't think about it, but for those coming from games like COD/Apex it's often an afterthought because their aim foundations
imo the reason “old” people look washed is their movement not their aim
no one playing with limited free time warms up jiggle peeking and counter strafing. they just wide swing and spam flicks which doesn’t help vs good players
@Mauisnake
they cover this grey area here, spelled out
i would consider console commands that allow for sv_cheat protected commands to be executed, as "severe"
got a chance to stop by GOML and watch top 8. Saw a little bit of what
@sadkellz
and
@SolanumCustoms
were cookin up, shit blows my mind as someone who just uses OEM gear and clicks a mouse. also met
@launders
and towered over him as you can clearly see. Melee is sick

pc enthusiast here: if your cores aren’t running at a cool 60 degrees during gameplay at 1080p 240fps then your e-dick is small. it’s simple really
Awhile ago,
@Maniac_CSGO
made a diagram to show different aspects of CS. I wanted to expand on it, so I did. I do want to refine this further, turn it into something usable for newer players, a hub of some sort?
any thoughts/ideas appreciated <3
man I hate the map slander these days
1. only objectively terrible map is dust2. the rest have a decent amount of depth
2. maps that force you to use utility aren’t bad maps, utility is a part of the game, learn it
3. not every map needs to be 50-50 CT-T sided.
@Ozzny_CS2
making high quality course material for CS2 isn't easy, especially with the scale they wanted
I know exactly what that process is like, because I made a 6 day course of my own (it's free, and always will be)
quick shoutout to all the boxr homies for all the cs we’ve played over the years. if it weren’t for y’all I wouldn’t be the player I am rn, feeling really good inside the server and you guys played a part in that. from 2016 to now, you guys taught me more than you think.
Difficulty to aim in a game is very different from how impactful it is. As in, from how aim contributes to make you win at the game.
Which game is the HARDEST to aim in regardless of impact? (See next message for the impact tier list)

Absolutely stoked to announce that I’ve been invited to join the wonderful folks over at
@readtldr
to work on something pretty cool for the CS community 🤫😎
Excited would be an understatement 💛
(1/5) im not eating a big dinner this year, spent most of my day at work but I’m still thinking about those I’m thankful for. Of course I’m thankful for my good health and my quality of life, but there are a handful of people in particular that have shaped me as a person that I’m
(1/5) Always comm when your position has been smoked or mollied off.
This is often missed by many players and is important especially on the CT side. Position comprised by util = loss of info.
Do not assume your teammates know this when it happens. Communicate it.
@DonHaci
right handed IRL, use cl_righthand 0 because I’m mostly blind in my left eye
Less screen space taken up by a model on my good side, the better.
I fucking hate this state, get me out dude. nobody gives a fuck. it’s wild to me that everyone is just going about their lives, having huge gatherings, etc I see it all over my socials from my friends. have fun killing your parents!
between some internal things + my focus shifting from gaming to starting a career, the last two matches were the straw that broke the camels back. not one to hide from a challenge but it feels like the right time to hang it up for now. gl to the boys on PA, wish them all the best
(1/2) 2 years ago I was banned on FACEIT for cheating. I maintain to this very day I have never used external software or hardware of any kind to cheat in CSGO. My appeals to this ban fell on deaf ears for 2 years and had to pass up on many opportunities because of this.
1 week until I’m in Toronto, feels pretty surreal to be packing my things and moving 100% on my own, feeling very blessed to have an apartment and a job for me in the biggest city in Canada. oh, and a beautiful girl waiting for me. 🖤
also shoutouts to this man 👇🏻 for giving me the advice and direction that steered me on the right course. probably wouldn’t be as skilled as I am or have made it on this roster without the sub 10 mans and the life conversations on your stream
@launders
❤️
can’t stand this guy. can’t believe we still keep him around after so many years
he once laughed at me in a pug and told me to “name one accomplishment” before listing off his LAN wins…
(2/2) I’ve played on the ESEA client the last 2 years, played in multiple seasons of league and played pretty damn well. now it’s just time to grind on the other platform and take advantage of the opportunities taken from me 2 years ago. 🙏🏻
If you stop holding your angle and run off without telling your teammate, he could be caught off guard by the area you were responsible for.
Do not assume your teammate knows you rotated away.
Always communicate it.
It’s not glamorous. It doesn’t show up on the scoresheet. Even pros can struggle with it. What is it?
It’s communication.
It’s the string that ties everything together in CS. If you are not communicating, you're not winning.
Here are 5️⃣ things missing from your communication
