It’s difficult to comprehend what it must be like to be a Firefighter in a war zone. The job is challenging enough without the complexities of conflict.

Residents bravely save a firefighter who had been swept away by floodwater. Even shallow water is dangerous.
Thinking of those affected and responding to this incredible flooding.

Advice from
@nottsfire
- we live in a house that is hard to fine. They asked us to spread the word that the “What 3 Words” app saves lives in such situations. It pin points your position to within 3 metres.
Thoughts with the family involved and my colleagues who have had to deal with a tragic house fire this afternoon as most of us sat down for Christmas dinner😞

Immense courage and determination from the initial crews to rescue the occupants of this house, who were faced with a horrendous situation.
Please, please make sure you have a working smoke alarm in your property.
Last night emergency services were called to a house fire in Whittier Road, Sneinton, at 12.43am.
Sadly a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. A joint fire and police investigation is taking place today to establish the cause of the fire.
Well that’s the first swimming session completed since March . They seem to have changed the consistency of the water to treacle since I last trained 😮🏊♂️

If you wondered what it's like to be close to a grass fire, take a look at this video showing just how quickly they can spread. This is what our crews have faced frequently in recent weeks. Help to prevent grass fires - don't BBQ in parks & dispose of cigarettes & glass properly
