@aswritingsaves If you can read Urdu then read in Urdu. If you can read in Hindi then read in Hindi. If you can’t read in these languages then only English as said by Farouqi Sahab

@anniezaidi @ZubaanBooks Yes. Lot of Russian literature was translated in Hindi. My window to russian literature is Hindi. Olga's case was simply (which I later learned during research) that Maria Puri (her translator in Hindi) was Indian. Publishing in West is another GAME.

@kalyanasc I watched it. Liked it but then somehow I wanted to read the book again so reading it. Somehow I felt corrupted by the moving images.

@GitaMadhu Finding new translations from indian language is difficult. It is changing slowly. Here is a website that has most of the Hindi novels in English translation. In future, this will be updated with other language translations as well. have a look.
