@hollowearthterf Coming home drunk and getting railed so hard by your husband that you forget your own name is one of life's little pleasures and I will not let the woke mob take this from me.

@vocalcry A girl at a company my husband worked for, who was in fact very well compensated as an SQL expert in 2004, abruptly quit one day to become a dog groomer and by all accounts was extremely satisfied with this decision.

@hollowearthterf My husband tells me all the time he thinks I'm even sexier now because he sees the history of our lives together in every wrinkle and grey hair and stretch mark and I would just like to remind men that being that in love with your wife is always an option.

@hollowearthterf She's on some MKULTRA level hormonal cocktail between adolescence and post-partum to begin with, never mind the socioeconomic stresses that almost invariably accompany teenage motherhood. She needs love, support, money, and enough therapy to help her prepare for the future.

@Slatzism Sometimes I romanticize the sound of the trains from an old house of ours that was closer to the tracks. Then I wind up in that neighbourhood when a train's going by and get pissed off with how loud it is.

@hollowearthterf Women: it's a single-sided rayon print with shitty construction, I don't want to spend money on this. Men: have you considered your real issue is that wearing something we think is hot is a threat to your agency? By the way, we're the same men who complain about you dressing like.

When I met my husband I was a 20 year old party girl single mom with a 6 month old baby, a high body count, a male best friend, and fractured relationship with my parents. God bless these these big naturals for buying me the necessary leeway to excuse me being a walking.
are you married/widowed? || in retrospect, was the leadup to your relationship more like a tightrope you had to walk, or more of a situation where you both liked each other up-front enough that you could've fumbled a fair bit without actually dropping the ball?.

“I’m not ready” is the biggest anti-natalism psyop. No kidding you’re not ready. No one ever is for any enormous undertaking. Frankly am tired of hearing that goober bs from “men.” Wah wah wah not ready. Go cry yourself to sleep in a corner. You are the baby.

@hollowearthterf When my children were little, I would stay up for hours after everyone was in bed, including my husband, just to have some time when my body was my own. Motherhood is violating no matter how much you love your children, how badly you wanted them, or how much you enjoy it.

@datepsych My husband and I both had high body counts going into this relationship and I was a single mom of a 6 month old. We're coming up on 22 years together/19 years married with 4 kids. It's cope to pretend men universally want chaste women.

@DarbraDawn My 15 year old and her friends all live in oversized hoodies and leggings. The weird politics of teenage fashion trends mean there's a new hoodie she absolutely needs to have every 4-6 weeks. We should be thankful teenage girls do so much for the consumer economy.

@TonerousHyus @hollowearthterf I assume there's an element of poetic license at work here. I've got a mirror and functioning eyes, I know I don't look like I did at 20. But men are still able to avail themselves of the option of loving their wives so deeply this is what their poet's spirit wants to communicate.

I was raised in an anti-consumerist environment. My parents wouldn't even let us use the central heating because we could keep the house barely warm enough with the woodstove and wear layer upon layer upon layer indoors. In my experience, an anti-consumerist life is a lot of.
@surrounding3rd Let's be honest with ourselves though about what is a want and what is a need.

@hilcrowder When I talk to my divorced friends they all seem to be deeply affected by loss of trust. After a divorce they're not only in a position where they've lost trust in their previous husbands, but they've also lost trust in their own ability to select a worthwhile partner.

@hollowearthterf I was happy to sacrifice my 20s and 30s to pregnancy and child rearing but let's not pretend the key word there isn't "sacrifice." It was a fairly draining slog even with a good husband who's an excellent father. I'm getting sick of men telling women this is the only life they.

@glassdelusions I think part of the whole sad vibe is that not only does she choose to be in situations she's clearly not happy to be in, she represses her authentic response to those situations for the comfort of everyone but herself.

@hollowearthterf I love how put of touch men are about the amount of money and effort "looking good" requires for women. How much do we figure the girl in that picture spends on her hair and skin and nails in a month, never mind at the gym, Pilates studio, etc.
