I have no problem with Disney re adapting The Little Mermaid fairytale into a live action movie, but why did they have to base their new adaption on their animated movie.
The two mediums don’t compliment each other and they just end up with a lesser product as a result.

Kingdom Hearts has this exact issue. For example, Disney was 100% on board with Sora being in Smash, but Nomura was worried that it would mess with KH lore.
And that is why Kirby’s Sora form has a pseudo-Keyblade, b/c according to Nomura Kirby wasn’t chosen by the keyblade

Trump delayed the AT&T-Time Warner merger b/c he hated CNN.
The uncertainy caused by the delay probably lead to some of CN and AS’s shows being axed, however; it’s not uncommon for shows to axed after a merger (i.e ABC’s Bump in the Night and Spectacular Spider-Man)

It’s plain to see that Satoshi did not care for Darren’s “Homage” to the bath tub scene, but the bit about Sara, the old woman who wanted to be on tv, predates Perfect Blue by 20 yr b/c it was in the book that the movie on.
