I have been offered a publishing contract from a small-mid size traditional publisher. Their contract is reasonable. They promote. Their website shows lots of publications. Since my response from agents has been terrible I will probably go ahead. This is a legitimate company.

So I have two WIP's going now. One is about a haunting with a unique twist. Doing research I reached out to a few 'legitimate' paranormal investigators to get information on how they do their investigations. Two actually responded with good information. I am quite pleased.

Working with the editor we are now half way through the novel. On track to have it out before the end of the month. The Charms Together will wrap up the Charms saga, with lots of action, dark family secrets revealed, and an epic battle against evil.

I had some interesting news today. The publisher of my novel Blood Mansion has just been bought by a larger publisher. We have already been in contact and this could be a very exciting development. This publisher has offices and studios in Los Angeles. Will keep everyone posted.

My advice for literary agents -take it as you will. Writers work hard and are nervous when we send out inquiries. You may not have the time to thoroughly read them all, but to not even respond is rude. Even a short rejection is better than no news. It allows the writer to move on

For my last two novels, I queried 144 agents. Not even a single full request. During the same time, I queried a handful of traditional publishers. 3 offers to publish and one signed contract with book coming out in October. I refused the other two. So what gives agents?

All you writers out there. When you do a book signing do you use the same signature you use for your regular activities (like banking)? Since my regular signature is almost illegible I have made one just for book signings.
