I read this and think, this is so beautiful. I want this for my children. And I realize I am this child - and this is how my parents, who worked so hard for the privileges I was born with, must feel about the places I’ve been and the places I’ll go.
Our children will go further than we could ever dream of. They will reach foreign stars and walk on alien soil. They will spread across the heavens like grains of sand on the seashore. Some of them might even remember the world of before and talk of us with wistful tenderness.
