I mean this respectfully, but I think you're overthinking the seller's motive here. He wants the positive feedback and potential for a return customer that comes with your trust that he's not trying to pull a fast one on you. That's more valuable than a formerly $65 card.

Well, this is one way to look at it. But with only 1.6% of NCAA football players making it to the NFL, I don't for a second believe Kenny Pickett "wants it" any more than the average NFL-caliber quarterback. Let's give someone else who "wants it" just as much a chance.
