The golden age of solo stakers is here. I talked about the roadmap for solo stakers previously and this is Step 2 - Apply for hardware grants in action. The next step is to make use of this grant to start accumulating on-chain creds by running a DVT-enabled node with minimal.
DVT enables lower-bond validators but it doesn't address the fact that hardware is still too expensive to justify buying a computer to earn rewards on a 1 ETH DVT validator. EthStaker, with @divastaking and @stakesaurus is running a 10-week pilot program to subsidize hardware for

- 30-day performance: Pre-Alan fork on SSV.- 1-day performance: Post-Alan fork. Visibly lower CPU usage on my Intel NUC i5 running 60 validator key shares. Client combinations: @NethermindEth EL + @ethnimbus CL + @ssv_network DVT
Alan fork initial results (first @ssv_network fork).- CPU reduced by ~70%.- Networking reduced by ~90%. That means @ssv_network runs better, faster and with less resources. (Larger operators will see bigger gains)

The first @LidoFinance CSM rewards were distributed last night and the actual APR is indeed 7 - 8%. APR = 0.0176 / (2.8074 - 0.0074) = ~7.54%. Gotta find time this weekend to exit my defi positions and ramp-up to all 12 keys here for a sweet ~$360 per month.

Having a backup power supply is super underrated for your home validator. The crazy storm in SG's east side just tripped my power briefly & I would've had to spend 1 - 2 days re-syncing if my main node shut off abruptly. S$87 to prevent downtime and potential hardware failure!.

Currently, due to a larger number of active Obol validators within the Simple DVT Module, vault users are receiving a 5.5x boost to Obol points!. In addition, points from SSV and Mellow continue to flow, tied to their existing Incentivized Mainnet and launch campaigns.

Solo staking is a lonely journey. It's a key friction point because humans are social creatures at the end of the day. Having more teachers means we can form smaller but more engaged "study groups." Motivation and retention will be higher because it is simply more fun too!.
