I used to celebrate the proliferation of cafes in Korea, but at this point, there is a growing fatigue of cafes. Many spaces are copycat industrial style of each other and does not warrant a second visit.
Cafes are a response to a lack of good public space or 3rd spaces. I wish

I heard some Japanese cities do a great job designing and utilizing their civic centers to function as public living rooms.

Each project is a visualized snapshot of THE idea.
Each project is a node that represents an idea which is a woven network.
In a way, all of us, holders and builders, are nodes of THE idea.
We are all part of the network, as THE idea evolves with the evolution of each node.
The biggest appeal of Jack’s work/idea is that it encouraged others to explore their own art.
In January, many took advantage of the cc0 nature of Checks and created their own versions.
Whether exploring the idea of verification, playing around with the grid or the checks

Q: How do you design a space based on the 20-Checks?
A: Turn the checks into colorful skylights for 20 mini gallery spaces.
We need a gallery dedicated to all the ChecksVV creators and collectors.

People lashing out at Elon's behavior are either not on this platform or are light users.
With the upcoming payment platform, X will shift away from a model that relies mainly on ad revenue and focus on the creator economy - ad companies will want a piece of that.
In architecture, we call them typologies:
The tower is a typology; the mall is a typology; the courtyard house is a typology.
AI generates infinite iterations, but humans define the archetype.

aesthetics matter and always will
but my bet is that the speed of image generation in particular will compress cycles of relevance exponentially
so we go a layer deeper than style, and arrive at symbol

said, “in a world of infinite content, only provenance will count.”
I believe Opepen is the first digital art collection aiming to address that idea head on.
Celia and Jack have created something very special to many people. Everyone who met them during this week cant deny how smart, kind, and genuine they are. I feel very lucky to have met both and am wholeheartedly interested in their journey 😀 You have my 100% support.

→ every opepen has a preset edition size
→ opepen are revealed in sets of 80 (200 sets total)
→ you opt-in to sets you like (artwork preview)
→ sets only drop if there is a 200% opt-in rate
questions?

Because apple doesnt just release a product, but a vision around it. The way theyre providing developer tools and building excitement around it shows these details.
I've been posting so much around Opepen and Checks that I'm not sure if people will take me seriously for posting my own work again. 😂

My work is about challenging the way we interact in the digital world.
As I embarked on this journey, I didn't want to play a game of catch-up with everchanging technology around the metaverse. Hence I chose to focus on timeless design principles around space-making.

GM. New WIP for 3D Checks
An architect should be able to visualize a space just by looking at a floorplan.
A tower seemed appropriate for the black check, the ultimate status of power.

Utilizing the Opepen preview grid as the starting point, each edition is a design for a specific room, the smallest unit of architectural thought. Ideas for each room are under development.
Each edition is a partial blueprint for the entire house. Each room may
Checks is not a color gradient pattern, but an idea.
The art is not the graphics, but the on-chain interaction that demonstrates provenance and visualizes the history of a token.
What Checks stand for will only become more relevant as AI generated projects seek provenance.
So this version is the opposite color scheme to the previous one. The reflected colors are much more subtle in this one. What do you guys think?
