@Neelhippal17 @AVintageAviator @SteveNomadic I've seen several reports (not sure how reliable) that on the night in question DCA ATC were short handed so one controller was handling commercial & military? That's what prompted my question?

@AVintageAviator @Neelhippal17 @SteveNomadic I'm curious. Do ATC treat military pilots differently to commercial pilots? (ie: less likely to impose course alterations etc?) Is it possible there was a Hierarchal deference on behalf of the controller who might have been unfamiliar with SOP for controlling military HELOs?

@jonburkeUK Is it the Size or the Weight you object to Jon? Because a Long Range EV hatchback is heavier, and Transit vans (Which are far more prevalent on our roads) are larger? I suspect it might actually be their Status Symbolism....
