Thank you for the supportive messages and prayers. They made a difference! Against the odds (the vet said it was “Hail Mary” time yesterday), Willis fought like a lion and is no longer on oxygen. Nothing short of a miraculous comeback.

Thus ends a years-long duel between US and Russian authorities to try to get Vinnik into their respective custodies. Vinnik has been under indictment in the Northern District of California since 2017.
