Portfolio is a good way to experiment. I'd say go crazy with it or a simple one with just text and a gallery of your work.
You'll eventually find one that you'll like

I also sometimes see the option 1 but with the icons on the right side instead of the left side.
Basically option 2 but with option 1 icons.

Now that I think about it. People usually put their phone on their kitchen counter/table while cooking instead of holding it because their hand might be dirty or a little wet. So I guess making the button inside the timer and being bigger would be a better solution.

I just thought that was pretty generic for a hero so I came up with the current copy to make it sounds different.
I would most likely replace it with a new one for the next iteration.

I think MERN stack is the best starting combination to learn Back-End development. I would say it's pretty beginner friendly.
