@jwalkermobile Good. If you get a big bill , go through it line by line and talk to financial services. See if you can remove bogus charges or settle for a cash price with a payment plan.

That’s a hot take and I think it’s not wise to deal in absolutes. I attended a TIPS course one time and the proctor routinely did co2 only cases in 10mins FT or less. Even he admitted ICE has a role in some select cases but he mainly uses in as a teaching tool for new generation. You may be very skilled at traditional fluoro / Co2 guides TIPs but not everyone is. There are operators who avoid the procedure altogether

@djb6226 @iRadPulse @JVIRmedia Doc that’s great but it’s like US guided PCN. If you weren’t trained well by a fluoro guided TIPS specialist, or fluoro guided PCN/ PTBD specialist , you will struggle to develop those skills in indepdant practice. I am fortunate. I was trained in all of those modalities.

@ChengaziMD @jcgeorgemd @PhilipsHealth @ReVascMed @jfinleyIV @GPAngioClub @ACVCPhila @PhilipsPR @CookMedical @tarheeldylan @DonGarbettMD For me, I often will be able to easily grab the fibrin cap but once it’s dissected i usually won’t be able to grab the filter apex, which is why I set a timer for dissecting then go to hangman

@AmputationSuck Brian , if you saw a TIPS with and without ICE guidance , you’d understand that you can’t put a $ value on its importance

@ChengaziMD @jcgeorgemd @PhilipsHealth @ReVascMed @jfinleyIV @GPAngioClub @ACVCPhila @PhilipsPR @CookMedical @tarheeldylan @DonGarbettMD I rarely “pull” w the forceps. Mainly a dissection tool then move to hangman and argon Kodiak like Harris said. Have done up to 16yo dwell times w that tool kit and have a 20 yo filter in the works

@KyleCooperMD Always a fear. I am very tedious to always hit the trocar with a gush of saline every time we manipulate. Amazing how often the saline gets sucked in the lung in less than a Second.

@AustinBourgeois Concertx is great. This week we used our last one on the shelf for a bilateral internalization. Techs got to see an “old school” JJ stent placement on one side and a convertx on the other. Good learning for them
