Not really sure why ppl are attacking her for simply educating us, on how to take care of our hair. Her curls are damaged, and she gave alternatives on how to avoid. Lets say thank you and move on!
We recently talked about the dangers of constantly pulling your hair back. Here’s an example of what mechanical damage looks like. This client has no chemical treatments or regular straightening, just constant ponytails bc of work. Gotta find alternatives.

Had a call with the head of my office. He admitted my email triggered him, and he realized his eyes were covered. He thanked me for being me. We had a 30min conversation that ended with him asking of local organizations in my community the COMPANY can donate to. This is impact.

I’ve been working on meditating and self-actualization. Got promoted to Senior Sports Executive status today, & made the final round of an elite MBA program. I encourage everyone to do some inner work. I struggle with imposter syndrome but I’m constantly showed how great I am.

This year was cool. Became the first black woman to help manage a Fortune 500 account at my sports firm. Made a lot of connections in the industry, and I’m excited to see manifest in 2020. Next year I’m anticipating even more change, so I’m reminding myself of where I’ve came.

Got some good news today. Waitlisted for a top MBA program, and will know their final decision in a couple weeks. Based off the number of applications they receive each year, it’s quite the accomplishment to make it this far. Proud of me 💕

As someone who has a speech impediment (stuttering), I truly hate public speaking. I’ve spent so many hrs practicing speaking that ppl hardly detect it - its only an issue when I’m really nervous. This is my biggest achievement to date. I want to give a Ted Talk one day.

Yesterday i was able to talk to some BET interns, and I just cannot believe I’m in the position I’m in now. 1 year ago i was an intern, and I’ve been blessed to host events and manage a multimillion dollar account. I’m not where i want to be but goddamn this is a great start.
