last night my good friend, Maka Havili, 52, died of Covid. He was vaccinated. He was on immune suppressing medications which limited his ability to fight infection, but kept him in life. Not everyone can protect themselves. We vaccinate for ourselves and for the “feeble knees”

finished my run this am and straightened the sign in my yard. Across the street neighbors (whom I love) had 2 signs for another candidate which had blown over. I took my hammer and put them back upright knowing full well my candidate would have done the same.

The last 3 years if it was remotely close I would let it go. Hardly ever had them repeat. Former 80 yo Bishop in my ward during testimony meeting once wept uncontrollably at the pulpit and kept repeating “I wish I would have been more merciful.” Affected me deeply.

Thanks Hank. Recently released As bishop and I 100% agree with you. We are not judge and jury of these individuals as members of the church. As a Bishop, an “inactive” brother was authorized to baptize his son because of the exact reasons you listed. It was right!

Wonderful data on mortality/death (not from Covid-19 infection) after Covid vaccine. (Spoiler-alert: less death from all causes in vaccinated people). Remember, correlation not causation but should hopefully provide many of my patients more comfort in vaccine decisions.

The responses to the Lt Gov are unbelievable. I want to give the benefit of the doubt to all sides but when I hear ongoing complaints of widespread voter fraud with zero evidence of such, it’s tiring and it becomes just that: unbelievable.
I’m sad to see the results of this election. It’s disappointing. But this is how true patriots respond to defeat at the ballot box. There is more to life than politics—and there’s always another election. Thank you Stephen for your service, and especially your example. 🇺🇸

Faith requires uncertainty. Blind obedience many times arises from certainty—which, I agree, for me is scary. I used to have that kind of obedience—to me it was blissful and safe. Uncertainty is painful and risky, but has born the fruit of foundational, life-changing faith.

The convention doesn’t represent the bulk of the GOP in Utah. When Cox loses 32% to 68% at convention but latest polls of registered GOP voters have him up 30+ points on Lyman—something’s wrong. The caucus system needs to go.

Just had a patient share with me her story of falling on side of a major road during a snowstorm and breaking her femur. First people to stop were 2 non-English speaking Hispanic men—one of whom gently held her head out of the ice and slush until paramedics arrived. ❤️

We’re all investigators my friend. And should be IMO. Elder Holland himself said our faith should always be in crisis. That’s hard for many to accept and It’s the environment we’ve created either intentionally or unwittingly. Some defend that environment to unchristian levels.
