@BesenBruno @BenVanCalster @UZLeuven @laure_wynants just to set the expectations right, this is a methodological comparison study, not a proposed model for application in clinical practice. more will come on CLABSI. stay tuned! and thanks for the feedback on horizon

@BesenBruno @BenVanCalster @UZLeuven @laure_wynants we have been provided the 7days prediction horizon by our clinical experts, as the largest actionable horizon, but if there are reasons to consider other prediction horizons, we are eager to listen

@kdpsinghlab if subgroup 1 is young people, most of which have a temporary easily solvable medical trouble and subgroup 2 is old people with complex medical conditions (more difficult to discriminate and more patients get hospitalised), i prefer being… young (did i need a quiz to say that?)

Media: AI will go out of control and kill us Excel: hold my beer
In the UK the number of cases rose rapidly. But the public – and authorities – are only learning this now because these cases were only published now as a backlog. The reason was apparently that the database is managed in Excel and the number of columns had reached the maximum.

maybe machines didn’t pass the turing test, but humans can be fooled by humans who mimic machines
There are porkies happening, folks. The guy who writes pretend-AI-scripts and trades on people assuming he isn't lying as his primary shtick worked on an ad that BK claims was 100% machine generated
