Big release from the Adobe XD team today. Component states and multiple interaction triggers have been suuuuper helpful in polishing prototypes. And Coediting?!? Looking forward to using this widely with my own team.

Finally paid off most of my debt. Keeping one low interest student loan around a bit longer for credit, but that's it. Graduated from college with about $55,000 of student loan debt, took me a decade to square up.

Had a fuck yeah moment stepping off the scale today. Been slowly losing weight this past year. Hit a peak of 235 at the start of the pandemic, down to 212. Lost 8 pounds in the past month focusing on eating and sleeping. Pretty stoked looking at the progress.

Live blend modes are in the latest release! No longer have to select each and every blend mode from the list to try. Just hover over the blend mode and see the canvas update in real time.
The easiest way to remember how Photoshop layer blending modes work is that you go through every single one every single time and pick which one looks best.

Photoshop on the Web is now out as a Beta. Big focus on commenting and sharing Photoshop files for this Beta release. Comments are shared across Ps desktop, tablet, and web. More features and functionality to come!

Looks like the latest Win10 builds now include a time stamp when saving screenshots with the Snip & Sketch tool. No more Capture.png every time by default. Grateful for this small UX tweak 🙏

A tip for

workflows.
Copying and pasting screenshots from XD & other programs into Photoshop sometimes adds a white glow to images w/ transparencies. Happens with macOS screenshots and drop shadows. This can be removed in Ps by removing the layer matte.

What I find amazing is that even the product managers at Adobe use XD to sketch ideas and prototype. Photoshop PMs have busted out XD from time to time.

I can’t remember the last time I looked at a layers panel in a design app. Legit been at least 5 years. PMs, content strategy and engineering look at prototypes or click throughs.
Designers that organize their work like this don’t have their own style or way of doing things. They are just inexperienced. I have no problems calling out designers for sloppy design files. You make it impossible to collaborate with writers, engineers and other designers.

Lots of question about this, so let me clarify: Adobe apps get rounded corners when they become multi-device and cloud-aware. It is not a mistake that Photoshop 2020 suddenly has rounded corners, but Ai and Id do not.

You can also set your blend mode to Clear in this menu to change your current tool to an eraser. The ~ key toggles this blend mode on and off when using the brush tool.
