@Sassan_sir @beerandpub @DailyMirror @UKHofficial @PubandBarMag @lordwaynebas @greatorex @pub_that @BallWorrall @Overmyheadphoto @adamgaines @Porkyaskew For far too long now, hospitality has been taken for granted. For too long now governments have sat the sector to the side, but with the headwinds coming down the line post April, they need to sit back and listen rather than nod just for the sake of looking interested

Is it a case that political parties are now shouting after backing a budget? We have been calling on all parties to stand behind licensed hospitality sector, & for good reason. We seen this coming after the @UKLabour budget but parties chose to ignore the warning & now shout

@banks_chef Stress pressures were already on the sector with previous Gov, however, with the hammering in the UK Budget on NICs for employers in a labour intensive sector like hospitality, the pressures are now at an all time high Mental health is reality for owners working 80+ hrs a week!

The stark reality of how things are for some hospitality operators There is absolutely no doubt that this is NOT an isolated case, one that we will no doubt see more of post April due to pressures forced on the sector by @RachelReevesMP, especially NICs Mental health is real!

@AngelaRayner Please explain @AngelaRayner? We would be really interested in your analysis on how that works & how it is affordable given the hammering on employers NICs There is NO consideration for sectoral costs, especially hospitality. If you want to really help, cut VAT for hospitality!

We are acting to give millions of workers a pay rise. We promised to Make Work Pay and improve living standards across the country, and we are doing exactly that.

@robmeacock @EducationNotTax @RachelReevesMP @bphillipsonMP Local economy will always suffer where costs on the consumer pocket is hit. Putting VAT on school fees is a tax on a family and child’s ambition.

@hosphealth Great to have Hospitality Health as our chosen charity here at the Scottish Hospitality Group. The work you do @tedtrek69 for the sector is fantastic, and very much appreciated.

@bbclaurak @RachelReevesMP decision to increase NICs will have an absolutely devastating effect on licensed hospitality which is so labour intensive & rely on customer disposable income Her decision needs reversed before hospitality is decimated across the UK costing thousands of jobs.

@Overmyheadphoto @RachelReevesMP Paliaments (Governments) are supposed to work for the people, not the people working for the Governments. True fact!

@Sacha_Lord @AndyBurnhamGM @GlasgowCC maybe needs to take heed of this also after the disastrous & disingenuous approach it has taken, & the struggles now for businesses & safety of staff since implementation of LEZ. Changing the operational times would help massively, but refuse point blank to discuss.

@RachelReevesMP On a day where we hear official figures from ONS showing that the rate of unemployment increased to 4.4% in the three months to November, and less jobs being advertised, this will only be the tip of the iceberg in the new financial year as businesses cut back staff to cut costs
