@pub_that @Sassan_sir @lordwaynebas @Sacha_Lord @BallWorrall @EdthePubMan I’m going to start looking for hidden cameras - this is some sort of Truman Show, right?

@Overmyheadphoto I’m rapidly coming to the same conclusion. It’s very clear that this (and the previous) government have absolutely zero respect for our sector.

@SimonJWoodUK Jim Clendenen’s without a doubt. His tragic passing in 2019 and the family’s decision last year to stop producing Pinot Noir means that you have an exceptional piece of wine history there. So if it’s a historically good piece of beef, go for that.

This is grim reading indeed. It is very clear that the @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer @darrenpjones budget is demonstrably not working and there needs to be urgent action to reassure businesses and re-think the job-destroying proposed tax burdens. It’s not too late to reverse these policies.
Bank of England's latest report makes for pretty grim reading: * GDP Growth forecast downgraded from 1.5% to 0.75% in 2025 * It says that 'business and consumer confidence have declined' * Inflation expected to peak at 3.7% in Autumn - nearly twice 2% target *Economy shrank in Q4 by 0.1%. A small rise had previously been forecast * Cost of employing low earners will rise by 5% because of Nics rise * Firms expect to respond by increasing prices, cutting jobs and lowering wages *Economists pricing in three further rate cuts this year

@RachelReevesMP You need to reduce the tax burden on businesses with immediate effect. Only businesses can generate growth and with the insane NI costs proposed in April, this will be the end of hundreds of businesses and thousands of jobs. Listen to what we are trying to tell you.
