@kelvmackenzie Narrrgg. At that level it’s within the nil rate band. No tax on the donee. On second death the failed PET aggregates and reduces the nrb.. so IHT bill is many years away for UK dom transfers of value.

@Blue_Bird_7777 @arcadeuk @EssexPR Sadly not the donee pays the tax on failed gifts in excess of £325 k (or £331 k if you have 23/24 and 24/25 unused annual exemptions). Estates under £2 m gross also get £1 m of allowances not the £650 k folk are talking about.
