Always the first lesson of the year in my US Government classes. A basic factual knowledge leads to a deeper understanding and appreciation for our nation and its founding principles
Every high school senior should pass the same civics test that we require of every naturalized citizen. This shouldn’t be controversial.

As the tests go, so go the majority of American classrooms. Full texts shortened to excerpts, now shortened to glorified summaries. The American student suffers. Instead, read full texts, read foundational documents, take @CLT_Exam
