@kaesser @AmSocBiomech @ISBiomechanics @UvaM3Lab @MoBLNCSU There is a general relationship between oxidative capacity and MHC isoforms. However, oxidative capacity can change with increased activity without changing MHC type. The best fiber typing scheme uses multiple characteristics. I still like the SO, FOG, FG scheme.

@UvaM3Lab @AmSocBiomech @ISBiomechanics @musclescitalks Fiber size will vary as a function on sex, muscle, region of the muscle analyzed and activity. Also, what do you mean by fiber type..MHC or metabolic?
