And apparently it is the norm in certain units.

If residents are working in units where it appears accepted practice for PAs to be doing procedures, it is better they question, no?

not true. i've been wearing the same sweater every day for four months when i feed neighborhood crows. now whenever i wear the sweater, a murder of crows follows me around the block like an avian gang. they take me pretty seriously.

I like this approach to reflection far better than the “3 things that went well”
When I started at my current clinic, I developed a quarterly reflection document. •Highlights •Goals •Frustrations •Curiosities This was not required but I work best when I’m able to be critical of myself. At the end of each quarter I go through it with my boss/director. It’s now being adopted as a development exercise for the mentorship program for all newcomers in our practice.
