To be honest - I think you have to unlock the concept of feature creep etc as in a world where software is much like Lego - this stuff is a wash. For example - upgrading: - if software is made from a truly reusable atomic unit then upgrading said atomic unit will upgrade anyone using it - forget maintenance you’ll be future proof. Adding features: - today you spend thousands with a 3P to implement a new feature because the incumbent provider has multi tenancy risk -> new way of building you can literally ask for just the feature you want. Other than in regulated or pseudo regulated fields; or at the really bottom end or the really “we never need to touch this one we roll out end” I think you’re gonna see massive compression
