I used Bento for 2+ years, it's a very decent product and it works. They have issues with corporate governance, resolving disputes, ignoring emails from clients and probably a pricing model. I still have unresolved beef with them but will hate to see it go under.
SCOOP 🚨 Ebun Okubanjo bows out at Strike 3. Bento is dead. - Resigns from Bento. - Transitions back to the US. “This last episode is my breaking point.” In an email to investors yesterday, Okubanjo acknowledged that Bento had been on the brink since last year when it discovered that “our thesis was not working.” He claims he resigned from the company some weeks ago and was on his way to plan B before social media erupted after tweets by @hackSultan accused Bento of failing to remit personal income taxes withheld on behalf of corporate users of the company’s payroll product. “That guy is a friend of the Pade HR (sic) guys and they had stopped using the product for a long while, we really struggled to serve them in Rwanda and Ghana. Nigeria was also challenging.” Okubanjo implied that Sultan posted the tweets because of his affiliation with PaidHR – a clear display of failure to take accountability for Bento's woes. And now... He’s offered up Bento for grabs. “I suspect someone should take it, rebrand it, it is actually a pretty rad product but it’s time for a new slang. I release all my equity and debt.” Ebun’s tone in his email to investors shows some humility—a stark contrast to the misguided public defence he mounted on LinkedIn a few days ago. Okubanjo’s takeaway? “Until Africa modernises its tax and remittance systems, scaling is mission impossible”. Bento’s out. But the big question remains: Who’s next to cash in – or crash out?

@AMINSOZ1 @AskMichaelTaiwo Who gets the blame, if in ten years, scientists say that due to the exposure from toxic waste, residents have now developed certain illnesses? Who has the responsibility to protect? I believe there could be more options on the table away from the two extremes

@farinjini @supersanusi Costs will be greatly influenced by location, quality and personal taste. Your personal experience in building projects in the past or that of a close friend will also save you a lot of money from workmen who will try every scheme to squeeze more cash out of you at every turn

@Steadi_lady @Falilatt_ Paris is the only city where I have been to, where they stole my laptop bag from my hotel. Paris is so shady. So sorry about your experience.
