My 9mo got his first fever a few days ago. I’ve since measured his temp frequently while he has oscillated between playing happily with me then bawling his eyes out clinging onto my shoulder. The direct correlation between his temperature and mood is quite striking.

Yes, vaccine mediated COVID immunity is safer than gaining immunity through infection. Autoimmunity often kicks in after intense viral illness (think Mono, west nile, influenza, etc). Vaccines can mitigate that and this paper does a nice job showing that COViD is no exception.
