Been juggling between 3 maps right now. Blocking out a fresh map for the mapcore contest and making assets for the spongebob map.

It'll be 5 years of me working on de_dharma, on & off. Started in July 2019 for mapcore contest. I made the CTs spawn on A site like cbble & ovrpass, something that I hadn't seen anyone do in a workshop map. Took many iterations to balance. Released in feb 2022 for cs:go.

Comparing the buses in CS2, CS:GO and CS1.6 versions of Bikinibottom.
I didn't know how to make models when I made maps for CS1.6, so that bus was modeled by one of the other co-creators.

After 3 years of development, we finally feel we can say that Dharma is out of beta. We will still continue to fix any issues that we discover later.

For the same tournament, I was in touch with the org. They wanted me to make a map for their showmatch. Told them I'll charge for a new map, but they can use Dharma for free. I was told I shouldn't charge cz they'll get me a lot of "exposure". Discontinued the interaction.
The tournament which was supposed to revive the Indian scene ended up putting our players in an even more vulnerable spot.

Last July I decided I won't port it to s2 but remake it with improvements, both visuals & gameplay. Started to build the greybox. Playtested it and have been doing primary details on the map, still a WIP. The final artpass that'll bring it to life is being handled by

My work includes maps like Calamari, Bikinibottom, Awp_India for CS Classic Offensive etc. One of my recent works, Dharma, is currently in Faceit Mapcore hub Mappool.

Csgo community is weird. When there are no updates, they say the game is dying, when they get new content, they say the game is dying. The pros & the youtubers should be the ones to initiate this change towards accepting the new maps to keep the game fresh, but no! Sad scene.

, I just want to appreciate how good the community has been in developing a whole system around making maps & helping each other. Starting with

Haven't played a lot of GTA 4 and 5 but Vice City holds a special place in my heart. Excited to see how the city looks now after 2 decade.

Consider this as an example. The grey contrasts with the white. The warm light on the staircase adds a bit more color to the overall scene. The interiors have blue on bottom half of the wall.
You can keep the architecture minimal but still add colors.

I disagree. Most of the parents hardly support gaming as a hobby, seeing it as a career is dufficult. Tournaments shouldn't be something requiring research. It really has to be in front of the eyes because it's not just players you wanna attract, it's their parents too.

You don't have to browse through a 100K maps on the workshop. Just start playing on
@MapcoreHub
. The map-pool changes every season & the maps are thoroughly tested before getting added.
You will also end up encouraging general public to appreciate new maps.

For community mapper, the tools are amazing. They allow you to do majority of the work without touching any external 3D modeling software.
