When we wanted to get a mortgage we saved for 3 years. No drinking in pubs, no meals out, no holidays and basically putting everything into our deposit fund. Kids today have one thing on their mind and that their social life, you can’t have that and save for a deposit

I lost my lovely Dad on 24th Sept and was presented with a beautiful granddaughter on 29th December. My Dad would have adored her. Tonight I have terrible mixed emotions, will finish my wine and just go to bed. Goodnight all.

Today I have spent from 10.30am till 8pm in Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) with my family, following my lovely Mum suffering a stroke. Our wonderful NHS has cared for Mum, been sympathetic to our worries and concerns and we can sleep knowing she is being looked after.
