@Waymo Going from 45 to 20 to 35 didn’t feel great. Second time I’ve experienced it in this area.

Other than halving the speed for the turn (?) doing 45 on wet roads in a @Waymo on my way back from Cow Palace last night was a delightful surprise

It’s for the ad space and the cameras at the top that get demographic data for who is choosing what and how quick they are making their choice. Loyalty cards only do a subset of that data.
I will NEVER be able to comprehend this design change. A. They’re almost always wrong. B. They cost more money (always-on display, need to regenerate upon new products, loss of cold air because they’re always wrong) C. They do not make the lives of the employees or customers easier (again…displays are always wrong) D. WTF was wrong with the see-through doors in the first place? @Walgreens if you wanted to waste money on something, couldn’t you have implemented self-checkout devices instead? Your stores have plenty of real problems that could be solved; there was no need to make up one that didn’t exist. This pisses me off so bad because like how the fuck was this brainstormed, proposed, and then went through the entire implementation process? I don’t want to shop at a store run by morons I’m sorry I’m afraid I might catch it

@tkarlo @UnicornTickles literally 5 days after the end of the event last year camps who still had stuff on playa were paying people to return to help them strike. It isn’t unprecedented to return the next weekend.

@WarrenJWells @JamesHoffmann3 This explainer helped me Also the calmer & more predictable the traffic on a surface street, the more confident I am as a cyclist that it’s safe for me to ride there — so it’s not just highway benefits

@ryanmjohnson Being in SF the Bike Hunter aspect made my e-bike decision — and since there were so many proprietary parts I would only use them for service so the business model seemed solid2me But I guess that only works if you’re in a city with a retail/service presence
