the augmentation vs automation claim seems pretty weak once you dive into it. the examples are fuzzy (primarily derived from the language e.g. "format this" to indicate automation, vs. "let's draft x" as augmentation). in reality, i expect that even though the language of the former is more authoritative the results are iterated on — and there's no indication that the email, etc is then actually sent i think in most people's minds "automation" refers to a much more agentic process, which is still so early relatively speaking (with anthropic yet to release an agent and operator being a few weeks old) but, interesting read nonetheless...
