type inference bugs can occur in application code as well
having explicit return types avoids them, this argument of "anti-pattern" doesn't hold any ground.
just because ts can infer return types doesn't mean that people need to rely on them if they want explicit code

this example is misleading
const date = createDate();
// code relying on date to have type X
if createDate() has implicit return type of X, how do you ensure your code doesn't break if other engineers change the implementation to implicitly return Y?

if parts of your code consume a function,
that directly implies an implicit contract,
i.e changing the behaviour of that function (in this case return type) can and will have side effects :)

type inference in object assignment is a whole different story..

what do you mean typechecking? you can still have generic typing or even external consumers doing something with your data at runtime.
const date = createDate();
sendEvent(serialize(date));
the thing called type checking doesn't really save you from that.

it all boils down the nature of your workloads, but alot of serious apps run entirely on vercel/serverless (see ).
Depending on the size of the company ofc, vercel can actually be cheaper than hiring engineers to manage ur cloud infra

yeah i can see that happening for sure, vercel as a platform makes much more sense for very small and fast teams imo, it becomes much much more expensive to use with scale

may i ask how do you usually create a transactional scope with prisma?
do you create di-scoped repositories with a transactional prisma instance injected? or do you inline transactions in the repository methods?

would you say that syncing mutableData with 'watch' has the same effect here?
invalidating/updated query data by another mutation will also trigger onSuccess so might as well just use 'watch'?

agreed that writing ts like its java on top of decorators everywhere doesn't feel natural, this on top of being 'locked in' is my biggest point against opinionated frameworks which are way too restrictive for my taste
