*Maximizing power* is such an important reframing of how capitalism functions. It frees you from constant debates over basic economic principles while simultaneously revealing the rot at the core of the systems we live under. When I say I'm anti capitalist, *this* is what I mean.
-- there is a very important degree to which point of capitalist competition is about maximizing *power* not maximizing "profit" (in the abstract economic sense of net pro-social value). Better to be king of a small pond, even if that means draining the ocean to a pond.
