Shohei Ohtani's $700 million contract calls for him to be paid only $2 million a year for the next 10 seasons, with $680 million deferred until the end of the deal, sources confirm to ESPN. The CBT hit on the contract is going to be around $46 million, a huge discount for L.A.

Lowest returning managers in direct lending for the quarter after looking at our book and talking with other colleagues: Cerberus and Oaktree. Still positive quarterly returns though, just lower than the rest.

So many PE continuation firms being raised. Instead, should try to reduce PE exposure the next 12-24 months and allocate to private credit. Can get double digit returns as a pension and higher up the capital stack. I lol everytime a PE continuation fund is pitched

Overall credit and health of portfolios continues to act normal, but they are paying more attention to watch list borrowers. Nothing alarming so far with regards to potential for credit defaults / workouts

Any bidders yet for Medimpact Healthcare's leveraged loan? BofA is being hung out. Private credit shops are going to be able to buy that hung loan in the 80s directly from the BofA led group. The loan docs originally negotiated must be awful. Spread increased already too.

Yeah, my Private Credit volatility/standard deviation for Inception to Date is around 1% vol. But Mr. Private Credit Guy, ITD started in during a benign credit market, isn't it possible that returns could change with a pick up in defaults? Nah - I do not know what that word is.

We recently told a current manager that we will be allocating to another manager in their direct space. Should have seen his face when we told him the news. What we explained to him is that his firm has opened our eyes on this niche space (growing space).
