Now, you will see me one more time if you do good. You'll see me two more times if you do bad. Goodnight.

@urmomlolroasted Everyone say acab until they are mildly frightened by a person who poses no threat to them at all.

Netflix opening a giant retail space that looks on the outside like a cineplex, calling it an "experience venue", and not putting theaters in it is really funny. Solid bit.
Netflix has announced the first two cities for its gigantic new in-person experience venues, slated to open in 2025. The new Netflix Houses — to open next year in King of Prussia, Pa. and Dallas — will feature a wide array of shopping, eateries and experiential activities tied

It's so crazy that this lady is famous for something that she is bad at and doesn't really put any effort into.

@Kishore26412424 MCU fans when they see a superhero movie that actually has a sense of style and tries to emulate the look and feel of a comic book

@licensedt0iII (Watching through the Office for the 53rd time) hmm… I am starting to suspect this Erin character is not smart.

@helioslogos There's a reason children shit their pants. Shit isn't meant to be outside of our pants. Children instinctively know this, maybe we should listen to them.

@rajandelman If it makes you feel better, a significant chunk of the tickets sold did not go to actual people who saw the movie. The studio is basically running a scam that lets them inflate their box office numbers while screening to empty seats.

Cops when they hear that a child somewhere has a beloved pet.
A young girl didn’t want to slaughter the goat she raised for 4H. The state senator who bought the goat at auction agreed to let it live out its days eating weeds. But sheriff’s deputies drove 500 miles to kill the goat and teach a 9-year-old a lesson.

@PetreRaleigh Pretty much all of the dream jobs I had in mind 10-15 years ago don't really exist anymore or have become nearly impossible to make a living off of. Turns out it was very smart of me to be a coward and not seriously pursue most of them.

@MEPFuller The police response to this situation might actually be the single greatest argument I've ever seen for massively defunding the police. The myth that they are necessary because they protect us and the rule of law has just been irreparably shattered.

@KeithisaJerk It has a lot more to do with availability. Everything Everywhere All At Once still isn’t screening in a lot of places. Look at the number of theaters it’s played in compared to Morbius. That’s not “our” fault. We don’t control this.

@PetreRaleigh When I was like 5 years old I was at a 4th of July party with my family and an old man at the party got so mad at me for playing with a miniature American flag in a way he found disrespectful, he tried to kick my ass and had to be held back.

love this constantly repeating pattern where a corporate or political entity says an obvious lie, leftists call it out as an obvious lie, everyone else says "you're only saying that because it doesn't fit your narrative!", then a year later it's confirmed to have been a lie.
National Retail Federation report last spring: “‘organized retail crime’ was responsible for half the $94.5B in store merchandise” stolen. I fell for it. In fact: about 5%. And “in most major cities, shoplifting incidents have fallen 7% since 2019.” . Hugely important retraction.

"dril must be run by a different guy now because he doesn't write tweets exactly like how he did over a decade ago" has to be one of the dumbest takes I see posted on here semi-regularly.
my conspiracy theory that I 100% believe is that the original dril pulled a dread pirate roberts and silently gave the account to someone else so he could retire. I think it’s pretty clear if you compare current dril tweets to dril tweets from a few years ago. totally different.

@PetreRaleigh Funny that this is the go-to argument for conservatives when people make fun of them for being afraid of public transportation. People bring their kids on the bus all the time! The fact that conservative men fear the bus and literal children do not is part of why it's so funny!.

@PetreRaleigh We used to live next door to a house with one of those, and someone kept putting books by Bill O’Reilly and other right wing cranks in there. Nobody ever took them so I just started grabbing them and putting them in our recycling bin.
