@wef the problem Bitcoin solves is proof of stake! . Bitcoin is a system that solves the problem of needing a third party to verify and trust. Moving to Proof of Stake will again go back to the TRUST THIRD PARTY ( the people who stake ) making the whole system completely useless.

@WatcherGuru Fun fact. Proof of stake does not solve the byzantine generals problem since it can't even tell time without the use of oracles. Meaning it's a trust based system. Use PostgreSQL instead, it uses even less energy and is a million times faster.
