346 days ago, I met @EliWachs. I had wound down ALAO and caught the founder bug. All I wanted was to do that again. But it was much different than banking (obvi), and I knew it would help to spend some time on a team where I could learn how to help take a company from 0.5 to 10.

@sweatystartup I started a boat cleaning business in high school. $3/foot. Grew it to 40 boats, cleaning bi-weekly. Hired kids 5 years younger than me to clean and expanded into registering boats at the DMV, buying boating products for clients and boat lessons. Some epic summers.

Why are all billionaires assholes. I am fascinated about conversations around how people like @elonmusk, Steve Jobs, @PalmerLuckey tend to be disagreeable. And the debates around if they could still have been successful, without being an asshole. I think the answer is yes, but.

Yesterday timeline: the Friend launch was terrible. Unbelievable that they spent $1.8mm on the domain. Today timeline: The Friend launch was perfect. To break through the noise in consumer, you need to make big bets and create controversy.

Evolve hack includes full KYC data and, apparently, images of identity credentials. This puts EVERY entity in the financial system at risk for fraud, not just users/programs of Evolve.
