@KristenKimble8 I made the models to glue on top of the magnets. I just traced circles on card stock. The e-were just index cards that they placed under the magnets and tugged on them to “pull them away” mimicking ionization energy.

@Wilkinson_STEM Yes! I don’t let them touch it until I’m done. Sometimes I do POGIL style and let them check at each stop sign but for this activity I didn’t let them check the key until the end

@wh_secondary Yes! Rather than having students do regents questions on a worksheet, students practice questions on a vertical surface. Students lose the anonymity that they have when they are sitting at their desks. Productivity has definitely increased exponentially

@MrHScience593 I didn’t use a kit. I just got Pom poms and pipe cleaners from dollar tree. I had clay and rubber bands and other junk in my drawer that I threw in the basket. To make the “display” case I folded card stock in four and cut one slit and folded. Got idea from tik tok video
