@Mr_Raichura @KirkMcCullough4 I think the concept of calling it 'strong' ionic bonding can and will engender misconceptions. Are all ionic bonds strong? What does the term 'strong' in this context mean? Is the ionic bonding in all ionic compounds the same as they are all strong?

@AdrianBethune It feels quite patronising. Its a very, very simple idea that is being taught.

@DudeAdhd This is not defiance, just obnoxiously rude. Should not be celebrated.

First half term back in state education completed. Had the full spectrum of behavioural and pastoral issues to deal with but we are now through the 'lets test him out' phase. Looking forward to a week off!

Completed my first week in state education successfully. Nice to know I CAN still do it. Fantastic school with a real focus on wellbeing of both pupils and staff. My new Head and HOD are great!

@educationgovuk @bphillipsonMP I'm sure I speak for the majority of my colleagues nationwide.... But show us by paying us appropriately and by protecting our directed time so we can ensure a healthy work-life balance.

@MissOMHistory I've done it this year for the first ti e as well. It will also be my last - the pay is atrocious. I'd have earned more delivering takeaways!

My timeline is a scary read for someone returning to State Education in September after 11 years in Independent.

Done GCSE marking for @AQA this year for the first time. The pay is absolutely atrocious. It is a sorry state of affairs when I can earn more delivering takeaways than I can using my degree and 20yrs teaching Science to mark exams that shape young people's lives.

@adamboxer1 I still have nightmares about VAK learners. Was told by my then HOD it must be recorded in my markbook and we all had to have displays in our room. I left at the end of that year, I just wanted to teach Science!

@RogersHistory That is a huge issue, agreed. It makes absolutely no sense at all.

@teacherhead Didn't say thay when you came to my 'Indie School' to deliver a very lacklustre piece of cpd. Sure you were happy with the paycheck from my Indie school though.

@RogersHistory Pupils deciding they are far too stressed to attend lessons so just hide elsewhere in the school. Usually its about somethint incredibly trivial like someone doesn't like their new eyebrows or something.
