A few weeks back, a PM listener asked for
@cerysmatthews
to read from Under Milk Wood for our daily moment of escape. Many of you said, could Cerys read a little more Dylan Thomas? So she has. On
@BBCPM
from Monday. Starting with Fern Hill
@BBCRadio4
This is *so* very well deserved.
@MishalHusain
is not only a peerless interviewer, brilliant colleague and friend but she has also changed the status of women on
@BBCr4today
, a truly impressive achievement.
This happened today .. appreciative and rather overwhelmed as I am, I do want to say that in broadcasting, every ‘individual’ contribution comes amid a team effort. So - thank you colleagues and friends

@BBCRadio4
And of course thank you

This is excellent for Bloomberg and very sad news for the BBC. I’ve worked with Vic on and off for over 20 years, most recently when she was Editor of WATO and I was at PM. She has a laser-sharp editorial focus but is also thoughtful, kind and fun. I will miss her enormously.
Bloomberg News has appointed Victoria Wakely as its first UK national editor to lead an expansion of its journalism for UK audiences with more new jobs expected. She has been at the BBC for more than 20 years including three as World at One editor

Spent today in Southend - a town mourning its champion & favourite son. David Amess was not a politician who measured his success by the number of media appearances he made or Twitter followers he had. Perhaps that’s why the grief for him here seems so deep & so real
How can the BBC (

If you have the time - and it's really worth it - this episode of

I’ve managed to locate a neighbor who was caring for my mom. Her son found my mom dead on March 11th. He dragged her body into a cold garage and left it there. He could not bury her and could not go back. She is at peace now. Ukraineis still at war.

As another
#formereditor
(with the daunting task of following
@sinead_rocks
), I agree with this. With an an audience of children who have no voice in the public sphere, it’s easy to forget what a vital and important service Newsround provides, across all platforms.
#Newsround
IMO, in these times, Newsround needs more prominence - not less. The ability to watch with parents / families is also important. Relying mainly on a child’s ability and interest to seek it out online is short sighted and sad.
