It hasn't been a day yet since I gave a briefing at the @UN Security Council on detainees and the way forward in #Yemen, and already overwhelmed by the pouring of kind messages and calls of support. The world is a much better place when we remember our humanity and stand by each other. We can break the cycle of violence, end impunity, and rebuild through inclusive and rights based approach to dialogue. From bottom of my heart, thank you all.

More people were kidnapped by the Houthis, not just UN staff. Hostage taking and forcible disappearance is their go-to strategy to terrorize, punish, use as leverage, extract concessions / false confessions, and silence dissent. TY @JenniferHolleis #Yemen

They should ask Yemenis about who the Houthis really are. That PR stunt to advance their own goals while bombing local villages, kidnapping and torturing people, besieging cities, terrorizing millions. No, just no. Houthis can't whitewash what they did, continue to do in #Yemen
