It’s the same crews committing these crimes.
👨🏫 A vehicle burglary becomes an armed robbery when it is interrupted by the victim. SIMPLE.
Proactive policing stops the crew and therefore both crimes.
The MCC's Research Program studied the relationship between property and violent crime in Orleans Parish from 2019 to 2023. The strongest relationship occurred between vehicle burglaries and armed robberies. When vehicle burglaries go up, armed robberies go up.
