@vercellino_ire Regarding your 2nd question: Fig 1B suggests there are unaltered monomers. But if there are no dimers we would expect more monomers. Indeed, we see some downregulation of CIV proteins in cox7a1-/- (Fig 6B and S3B) suggesting destabilization and degradation. Happy to talk more.

@vercellino_ire Thanks for the question! In 10.1038/nature20157 structural analysis suggested that COX7A1 could influence CIV dimer formation by interaction with COX6A1. And this is why we decided to prove functionally in cox7a1 mutant zebrafish such an activity.
