As a Global China nerd, travelling to see Chinese infrastructure projects around the is a true privilege. The only thing I wanted to see in Astana, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 this week was the raging reminder of corruption, aka the concrete pillars around the capital:
China’s Port City under construction in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It’s built on reclaimed land, of which the Chinese have full ownership of around 100 hectares.
