The cost of the purely structural reforms over the last 2 decades + has been £squillions. For what benefit? PISA table enthusiasts will shout long and loud. But what about those "soft" indicators of mental health, SEND, transition to work/HE etc? Has it been worth it? Not so far.

A traditional German breakfast is hard to beat.

Finale of Tchaikovsky's 4th symphony. Not the most elegant but, my goodness, what energy, verve and dazzle these brilliant musicians @hirokyo_infoof bring under Wong Kah Chun (who reminds me of Yuri Simonov). No wonder @the_halle appointed him. Fabulous!
