Not to be pessimistic but yahoo boys should be treated as a lost cause so we can focus on ensuring other boys don’t tow the same line. There are boys from very poor homes who’ll be happy to get incentives to learn a trade and no be everything be tech.
If our society does not find a way to aggressively incentivise young people learning trade, tech and other legitimate viable skills fast, we are doomed because we will be churning out boys towing the wrong way in numbers that outweigh the ones going the right way.

My nephew's friends in Canada all started working at an early age, 15 - 16 years. I know some kids in Nigeria help / support their parents as well but we need to encourage them to take up paid non-skilled jobs. We have to destigmatize non-skilled labour.
