@EAWwrites So you're not a writer, you just used AI to blend the works of others and churn out mediocre stories. You're not an indie writer if you don't actually write anything.

@puddingnbiscuit @LockpixNLipstix @wahweepop Unacceptable. My mother used to bleed heavily for weeks at a time. The ER doc told her not to feel ashamed for coming in because “someone bleeding for weeks from any other source would be a cause for alarm. This is serious, and I’m glad you came in.”.

@jeanho Racist, ableist, and classist!. If they’re this controlling over Zoom, I’d hate to see how these teachers behave when not in hearing/visual range of parents. We don’t wear street shoes in our house and I don’t make my son wear his dance shoes during Zoom dance classes.

@interesting_aIl This is inaccurate from a bio standpoint. Within the sexes, there is huge variation of pelvis sizes, and attempts to classify sex by pelvis are not 100%. Also, during pregnancy, pelvises generally change to accommodate birth, but some remain too narrow, thus c-sections.

@FredTJoseph Thank you for sharing this story. I've had 5 miscarriages; it's so hard, and too often people think abortion care is separate from miscarriage care. It's all tied together. I wish you and Porsche the time and space you need to grieve and one day become parents as you so desire.

@TrinerScot @meakoopa @alexvtunzelmann Anyone wanting to draw Batman's physique, would do better to look at male gymnasts' bodies or acrobats. A lot of what Bruce studied to become Batman was gymnastics, acrobatics, martial arts, and stage magic. None of that requires bulk.

@imteddybless He smoked two packs a day, kept a coffee maker by his bed, overhead light was a red bulb, and he was fastidious about grooming and housekeeping of a run down apartment. He whistled the theme from “Peter and the Wolf” and watched WWE. He was the most cunning of linguists.

@KitKatK4ty @l4urrr_ As someone who had a lot of 20-somethings interested in me (and dating me) in my mid-teens, let me tell you, there’s something very wrong with them thinking it’s ok to date a 16yo. You might feel sexy and powerful for it, but when you’re older, you’ll realize how sick they are.

@ask_aubry Hm. Let's see:. •Spent $10K on child 1, knows 1's interests, helped 1 select and buy gift. •Spent $300 on a gift for child 2, shows no concept of 2's interests. Difference? Gender. •Volunteers use of his *wife's* car to appease 2. But he's not sexist. Right.

@jkh1710 @AnnaWolcott @FFigureFBust Our medical journals also say that Black women have a higher pain tolerance than white women, and thus, don’t require as much pain management. This scientific inaccuracy is a form of racism that’s lingered since slavery, and it’s at its most insidious in ob/gyn practices.

@hamishsteele I don't know what legal standing they might have, but a class action suit by creators whose works were wasted for tax write offs ought to be a thing. If HBO doesn't want to air it, rights should go back to creators to distribute it as they are able.

@clairewillett Indeed, you are correct. On a related note, Burton’s work would never have been as successful or appealing without Danny Elfman’s music, and there’d be no Nightmare Before Christmas, which seems to be almost entirely driven by Elfman from voice to music to certain plot points.

@showupforthis CW: talk of sex. After dinner filled with engaging conversation at a restaurant near my house, we got into his car (he didn’t think it safe for me to walk there late at night). “I’ll allow you to give me head, but no kissing.”. I walked the eight blocks home. Blocked his number.

@Karnythia Notice how "she seemed nice and we had a bunch in common" is something you say before describing a date that went south. Also, half of his excuse was how stressful his wife's pregnancy was for *him*. He regrets getting her pregnant, and likely taking his stress out on her, too.

@Nikkimac187 @DFB1959 @DrJenGunter Having a failed miscarriage at 17 weeks and waiting a week to see if my body would naturally abort, I asked the OB who later performed my D&E if I could at least hold her first before disposal and was told the body jellifies. So yeah, jellified fetus in amniotic sac = blob.

@cobywb @spekulation They thought they’d make an example out of these protesters, but it only adds fuel to the fire. Responding to injustice with further injustice only escalates matters. Maybe SPD—like other parts of the country—are hoping for an excuse to install martial law ahead of the election.

@yoshisquared CW: oversharing about menses. I’ve dropped 2T. between just the bed and the bathroom. I’ve had clots the size of my palm and bled through 3 overnight pads in an hour. Even after better regulating my cycle thanks to a doc who listened, mine are still heavier than most 2 days/mo.

@hankgreen That's accountability, and I respect it. I unpublished a book in a similar situation—enjoyed by my readers, no kerfuffle—I realized it wasn't my story to tell. When we grow, we change our behavior to suit, and sometimes that means removing our own work from the world.

@glowInthed0rk @gapingmaws Except Slytherins aren’t inherently evil? Their primary drives tend to be cunning and prioritizing power, but most of the children’s behavior is learned from parents who were in the last war. It’s political. There have been evil wizards from all four houses.

@WSJ That’s some serious tripe. People aren’t missing their commutes. My partner’s waking at a reasonable hour, stretching, working when he’s most focused, then playing in the park with our kids and taking a hot bath after . all because he doesn’t need to commute 2-3 hours/day.

@ketzal I’d take a small family. Why keep the kids separated from their parents?. And since the government is paying $775/person/day, I’ll drive them to their legal and medical appts, buy them what they want to eat and wear, and help them with ESL lessons, which I’m qualified to teach.
